Prime 4 already had a lot to live up to, but in a post-Dread world fans’ expectations must be through the roof. In Dread, she feels like an absolute badass and I hope Retro can nail that feeling too while abandoning Corruptions hand-holding and Halo-esque method to storytelling. Going back to Samus tanky controls in the 3D entries will be jarring. It’s exactly what we were expecting from a 2D Metroid in 2021.
